Method

  1. 1.Slice habaneros in half, keeping seeds for more heat (or remove for less).
  2. 2.Add to vodka in a jar.
  3. 3.Steep for 24-48 hours, tasting every 12 hours.
  4. 4.Strain once desired heat level is reached.
  5. 5.Bottle in a dasher bottle. Use gloves when handling.

Notes

  • Shelf stable indefinitely.
  • Extremely potent — 1-2 dashes per drink is usually plenty.
  • Great in margaritas, Palomas, Bloody Marys, and tropical drinks.
