Freezer Door Martini (Dry)
Batched Cocktails
Ingredients
- Gin750 ml
- Dry Vermouth150 ml
- Water200 ml
Method
- 1.Combine gin, vermouth, and water in a bottle or container.
- 2.Stir to combine, seal, and place in freezer.
- 3.Serve straight from freezer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora.
- 4.Garnish with a lemon twist or olive. No ice, no stirring needed.
Notes
- Water is essential — it replicates the ~20-25% dilution from stirring over ice. Without it, the drink will taste hot and sharp straight from the freezer.
- If stirring to order instead, omit the water entirely and stir each serving with ice for 30+ seconds.
- The 5:1 gin-to-vermouth ratio makes this a dry martini. Adjust vermouth to taste.
- High ABV keeps it from freezing solid. The texture will be thick and silky.
