Modern bar classic using aged rum in place of bourbon. Works well with Barbadian, Jamaican, or Demerara rums.
Ingredients
- Aged Rum2 oz
- Demerara Syrup0.25 oz
- Angostura Bitters2 dashes
- Orange Bitters1 dash
Method
- 1.Add syrup and bitters to a rocks glass.
- 2.Add a large ice cube, then pour rum over.
- 3.Stir gently in the glass for 15-20 seconds.
- 4.Garnish with an orange peel, expressing oils over the surface.
