Ingredients

Method

  1. 1.Combine all botanicals with the spirit in a large jar.
  2. 2.Steep for 2-3 weeks, tasting weekly.
  3. 3.Fine strain through cheesecloth, then coffee filter.
  4. 4.Add rich simple syrup to taste — start with half and adjust.
  5. 5.Bottle and let rest for 1 week before using.

Notes

  • Shelf stable for 6+ months.
  • Artichoke leaf gives it a Cynar-like vegetal bitterness.
  • Wormwood adds complexity — use sparingly, it's potent.
  • All botanicals available from Mountain Rose Herbs or similar shops.
  • Serve as a digestif neat, or use in Negroni and amaro cocktail riffs.
