Bijou

Created by Harry Johnson in the 1900 Bartenders' Manual. 'Bijou' means jewel in French — three equal parts representing diamond, emerald, and ruby.
Ingredients
- Plymouth Gin1 oz
- Green Chartreuse1 oz
- Sweet Vermouth1 oz
- Orange Bitters1 dash
Method
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
- 2.Stir for 25-30 seconds until well chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled coupe.
- 4.Garnish with a lemon twist and a brandied cherry.
