Ingredients
- Ripe Mango (peeled2 each
- Sugar500 grams
- Water250 ml
Method
- 1.Combine chopped mango and sugar in a bowl. Muddle and let macerate for 2-4 hours.
- 2.Transfer to a saucepan, add water, and heat over low until sugar dissolves.
- 3.Simmer gently for 10 minutes to extract full mango flavor.
- 4.Remove from heat and let cool.
- 5.Blend briefly, then strain through a fine mesh strainer. Bottle and refrigerate.
Notes
- Lasts 2 weeks refrigerated.
- Use Alphonso or Ataulfo mangoes if available — they have the most intense flavor.
- Excellent in margaritas, rum punches, and lassi-style cocktails.
