Ingredients
- Bourbon2 oz
- Apple Cider6 oz
- Honey0.5 oz
- Lemon Juice0.25 oz
- Cinnamon Stick1 each
Method
- 1.Heat apple cider in a saucepan with the cinnamon stick until steaming — do not boil.
- 2.Add honey and stir until dissolved.
- 3.Pour bourbon and lemon juice into a preheated mug.
- 4.Top with the hot spiced cider and stir.
- 5.Garnish with the cinnamon stick and a thin apple slice.
Notes
- Use fresh, unfiltered apple cider for the best flavor — not apple juice.
- Bourbon's caramel and vanilla notes pair naturally with apple. Rye works too for a spicier version.
