  2. 2.In a mixing glass, combine rye, syrup, and bitters with ice.
  3. 3.Stir for 30 seconds.
  4. 4.Strain into the absinthe-rinsed glass (neat, no ice).
  5. 5.Express a lemon peel over the drink, discard the peel.
