Method

  1. 1.Dissolve sugar into one of the juices.
  2. 2.Combine all juices and spirits in a large cooler, punch bowl, or clean bucket.
  3. 3.Stir thoroughly to integrate.
  4. 4.Add sliced fruit — the fruit will absorb the booze and become a feature of the drink.
  5. 5.Refrigerate or add a large block of ice. Let sit at least 2 hours before serving.
  6. 6.Stir again before serving. Ladle into cups.

Notes

  • This is a party punch, not a cocktail. The recipe makes approximately 25-30 servings.
  • Adjust sugar and juice ratios to taste — it should be fruity enough that the alcohol is barely detectable.
  • The Everclear is optional but traditional. Replace with more vodka or rum for a tamer batch.
  • Always serve cold. It tastes worse as it warms up.
